When we think of boundaries, we usually think of being harsh or the word no. There are many types of boundaries but one that we don't talk about enough is financial boundaries. Finances cause a lot of stress for people, especially when money and family overlap. One of our clinicians in training, Daniel Mack, shares a personal story about financial boundaries and how he overcame a difficult family dilemma.
Why We Struggle To Set Boundaries
While there may be various reasons why people struggle with setting boundaries such as environmental enablers, learned helplessness, social conditioning, etc not knowing how to set boundaries is often the biggest reason people don't set them.
